Joyce A. Schrag, 85, of Tarentum, passed away peacefully on Thursday December 25, 2025 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. She was born November 30, 1940 in Natrona Heights to the late Grace (Moxon) Schrag. Joyce was a lifelong resident of the area and retired after many years as a glass handler for Liberty Owen. She was a devoted member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Brackenridge and was also a former member of Central Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon and was involved with the Women’s Auxiliary and quilters club. Joyce had a very generous spirit and gave her time freely through volunteer work at local churches and community organizations. Above all, Joyce cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter Renee A. Mriso, of Natrona Heights; grandchildren Jessica (Dan) Havalo, Jenna (Nate) Pleva and Josh (Danielle) Mriso; great grandchildren Ella, Zachary, Audrey and Miles. Also surviving are siblings Margaret Ciminera, Darlene Schrag, Bonnie (Daniel) Fuller, Roxanne (Melvin) Sabulsky and Ronald (Dale) Schrag as well as Nephew Tim (Michelle) Schrag, their children Emily and Olivia and numerous other nieces and nephews. Besides her mother she was preceded by her siblings Gary E. Sr., Jack and Blaine Schrag, Donna Henderson and son-in-law Randy Mriso.
Visitation Friday, January 2, 2026 10am until the time of service at 12 Noon in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 with Rev. Julie L. Smith, officiating.
