Joyce L. (Campbell) Thimons, 92, of Brackenridge, passed away Friday, October 27, 2017 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. She was born February 3, 1925 in Tarentum, to the late Curt and Carolyn (Galey) Campbell. Joyce lived the past 68 years in Brackenridge where she was a homemaker and also worked as a secretary in the Physical Therapy Department at Allegheny Valley Hospital. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Natrona Heights and a 1943 graduate of Tarentum High School. Joyce enjoyed reading, sewing, her card club and loved the beach. She was an avid animal and bird lover but she especially loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her children, Gail (Dr. Richard) Dobrowolski, Bethlehem, Gary F. (Donna) Thimons, Brackenridge, Scott Thimons, Brackenridge, Carey J. (Bill) Sopcak, Murrysville, Robin L. (Mark) Freshwater, North Canton, OH; grandchildren, Craig, Brad (Diane), Heather (Rob), Chad (Tracy), Jessica (Travis), Nicole and Billy; great grandchildren Jack, Lila, Tess, Aubree, Brynnlee, Brielle and Blakely. Also surviving is her cat Hali. A special Thank You to her care givers, Jennifer Micholas and Kerri Campbell and the Allegheny Valley Hospital Palliative Care Nurses. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. “Tank” Thimons in 1995; grandson Sean Dobrowolski, 4 sisters Anna Marie “Sis” Andree, Lillian “Honey” Lefvre, Irene Stabile and Carol Zellefrow and 2 brothers Francis “Buzz” and Curt Campbell.
