Kent L. Ward, of Natrona Heights passed away peacefully in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh while surrounded by loved ones, after years of battling chronic pain from a number of debilitating illnesses.
Kent was born November 22, 1954, a son of the late Marlin W. and Naomi E. (Milliron) Ward. He was a 1973 graduate of Highlands High School. Kent was retired from ATI, Brackenridge and worked in many different departments making many life long friends in his 30+ year tenure.
Kent had nine grandchildren who were the joy of his life. He would attend their school functions, little league and soccer games, picnics and rides on his pontoon boat up the river to the rope swing. In his earlier days he enjoyed many outdoor sports and car shows.
Survivors include his companion of 22 years and wife of 14 years, Judy A. (Wright) Ward; son Ryan L. (Heather) Ward, of Kittanning, Stepson Kenneth J. (Carol) Bradley, of Colorado Springs, CO, stepdaughter Kelly J. (Matt Shaffer) Bradley, of Natrona Heights. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and four nieces and nephews; brothers Thomas C. Ward, of Natrona Heights and Barry L. (Paula) Ward, of Brackenridge. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers Clifford, Mark A. and Paige M. Ward.
