Kimberly A. Killian, 69, of Allegheny Twp., passed away peacefully with her husband by her side, Monday, August 10, 2026 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis for 40 years. She was born August 19, 1956 in Creighton, PA to the late John J. and Regina (Semego) Karlo. Kimberly has lived the past 12 years in Allegheny Twp. and prior to that Chicago. She was a Registered Nurse and manager of the Medical Surgery and Oncology Units at various hospitals during her career. Kimberly was of the Catholic faith and a 1974 graduate of East Deer High School, Citizen’s School of Nursing, New Kensington, a BSN from Penn State University, and she pursued her Master Degree through Distant Learning. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working crossword puzzles. She especially enjoyed being with family and friends. Kimberly will be remembered as a remarkable person and wife. She brightened up a room with her kind smile, wit, humor and mind. Her memory will be a treasure for life.
Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years, Robert A. Killian; step children Jennifer (Craig) Calkins, and Robert (Fabiola) Killian, of California. Also surviving are 6 step grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Daniel Karlo.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Friday in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday at 12 Noon in St. Margaret Mary Church, Lower Burrell. Entombment will follow in Our Lady of Hope Mausoleum, Frazer Township.
