Laura G. Becker

Laura G. Becker, 59, of Lower Burrell, passed away Tuesday, June 05, 2018 at Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born October 23, 1958 in Newton, MA to the late William G. and Patricia M. Becker. Laura lived most of her life in Natrona Heights. She was a Vocational Rehab Counselor for the state of PA,  Office of Vocational Rehab. Laura was a member of St. Margaret Mary RC Church, Lower Burrell. She graduated from Highlands High school in 1976, earned a BS in Accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Masters from Penn State. Laura loved Pittsburgh sports and Duke basketball. She especially enjoyed all word games.

            Survivors include her siblings, Robert J. Becker, Natrona Heights, Barbara G. (John L.) LaVacca, State College, Richard P. (Charlene) Becker, S. Buffalo Twp. and Michele M. (John) Vogel, Houston, TX; nieces and nephews Dylan, Courtney, Nicole, Taylor, Kane and Cole and a great nephew Brooklyn. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother William Becker in 1979 and sister in law Kellie Becker in 2015.

             A memorial mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10am in St. Margaret Mary RC Church, Lower Burrell with Rev. Kenneth Zaccagnini, officiating. Burial will be private in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Tarentum. Arrangements by Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10^th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Westmoreland County Chapter of Meals on Wheels.
