Laura Jean Marietti

Laura Jean Marietti, 92, of Lower Burrell, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights following a brief illness. She was born October 17, 1932 in New Kensington to the late Harry and Dorothy (Graham) Flynn. Laura lived her entire life in Lower Burrell where she was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church, Lower Burrell and a 1950 graduate of New Kensington High School. Laura enjoyed traveling to Florida and Myrtle Beach, gardening and bird watching. She especially enjoyed her family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Jeffrey L. (Karen) Marietti, of Tarentum, Cheryl A. (Bryon) Gray, of Washington, MO and Carol J. Marietti, of Lower Burrell; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Also surviving is a daughter in-law Michele Marietti (Ronald Sheesley), of Tidioute and a sister Loretta Sheesley, of New Kensington. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Leo J. Marietti in 2000, son Mark Marietti in 2016 and an infant great granddaughter.

Visitation 2-4 & 6-8 PM Sunday in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where a blessing service will be held on Monday at 10 AM with her pastor, Father Daniel L.
