Leona J. Brestensky, 94, of Buffalo Twp., passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Rosebrook Assisted Living, Buffalo Township. She was born on December 19, 1930 in Natrona Heights to the late Gwidon and Sophie (Olczak) Klimkowski. Leona lived most of her life in Brackenridge where she was a homemaker and attended the former Har Brack High School. She was a member of the former Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Natrona Heights now Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Campus, Natrona Heights. She was also a member of the Brackenridge American Legion ladies auxiliary and the Rosary Society of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Leona enjoyed bingo, trips to Ocean City and especially enjoyed her family, children, grand and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons Michael A. (Sharon) Brestensky, of Buffalo Twp., and Mark (Dawn) Brestensky, of Leechburg; her grandchildren Carie (Trevor) Mahan and Michael (Gina) Brestensky and great grandchildren Nora and Aron Mahan, Damian, Karis and Jaylee Brestensky. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph M. Brestensky, son Daniel Brestensky, grandchildren Chad and Danielle Brestensky. Also, her siblings, Helen (Theodore) Tarazewski, Mary (Thomas) Polisano, Jennie (Frank) Bubash, Stella (James) Hamilton, Alfred Klimkowski, Lawrence Klimkowski and Frank “Dyke” (Jean) Klimkowski.
