Leonard M. Jankowski, 83, of Natrona Heights, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at UPMC St. Margaret Memorial Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born August 17, 1935 in Harrison Township to the late Stanley and Stella (Wiktorowicz) Jankowski. Leonard lived most of his life in the Natrona Heights area. He was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights and a 1953 graduate of St. Joseph High School and St. Vincent College in 1957 with a degree in Psychology. He also earned a teaching certificate from Duquesne University. He taught English at North Catholic High School retiring in 1997 after 35 years. Leonard enjoyed gardening and working outside.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Carol G. (Glogowski) Jankowski of Natrona Heights; sister in law Mary Ann Jankowski, Tarentum and brother and sister in law Richard T. (Kathlynn) Glogowski of Lower Burrell; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother John S. Jankowski, Sr.; sisters, Irene Jankowski and Helen Jean Brower.
Visitation 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Sunday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 East 10th Avenue, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 AM at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights. Burial in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
