Lillian Snyder Ross, 96, formerly of Brackenridge, went to meet her Savior on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot. She was born January 25, 1922 in Harrison Twp., and lived most of her life in Brackenridge. Lillian was the daughter of Charle and Roberta (Caldwell) Snyder. She was married to Clarence Ross, her high school sweetheart, until his death in 2004. She was a homemaker and was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Brackenridge Church of God. She was part of the prayer ministry, The Senior Saints, and past president of the Allegheny Valley Church Women United. She volunteered at Meals on Wheels and the AVH coffee shop. She loved music and sang solos and participated in church choirs. She also sang duets with her husband. During her life, she loved Jesus Christ and was a faithful follower. Survivors include her children Liza (Joseph) Sporcic, Natrona Heights, Gene (Diane) Ross, Fawn Twp. and Neal (Polly) Ross, Brackenridge; 6 beloved granddaughters Amy Ross, Amanda (John) Mentzer, Shelly (Alex) Keffalas, Laura (David) Wong, Katie (Andy) Erwin, Hannah Ross (Jon Druding) and 8 great grandchildren, also surviving is a sister Peg Eury, Butler. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clarence, eldest son Dan Ross, and sisters Jessie Traentner, Gertrude Geisler, Jeannette Ney, Roberta Massalsky and infant sister Louella Snyder. Many heartfelt thanks to the Staff of Concordia and Good Samaritan Hospice for their loving care.
Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc., 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where services will be held on Friday at 11 AM. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery, Brackenridge. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lillian’s memory may be made to AVAC ministries, 1913 Freeport Rd., Natrona Heights., PA 15065.
