Linda S. Garritano

    Linda S. Garritano, 62, of Natrona Heights passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024  at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a short and sudden battle with cancer. She was born  August 17, 1961 in Harrison Township, daughter of Paul and Dorothy (O’Connell) Stopchuck, of Lincoln Place, Pittsburgh. Linda lived most of her life in Natrona Heights and Tarentum and was of Presbyterian faith. She was a homemaker, as well as working in customer service for Big Lots in Natrona Heights for a number of years.  Linda graduated from Taylor Allderice High School in Pittsburgh and enjoyed gardening, outdoors, her two dogs and watching Netflix. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

       Besides her parents, Linda is survived by her daughters Natalie Garritano, of McKees Rocks, and Courtney R. Garritano, of Natrona Heights, grandsons Donovan D. DeSabetino and Anthony Yaconis of Natrona Heights, stepdaughters Ashley (Sam) Sipe of Saltsburg, and Catherine Zier of Tarentum and 4 step grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Pamela Weston and Robert M. Macioce, of Jefferson Hills, Kathy Fite of Dravosburg, and Sandy (Kevin) Rowlands of Butler and was an aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in  death by her life partner, Michael Zier and son Michael C. Zier.

    A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024 from 1PM until the time of service at 3 PM in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 East 10^th Avenue, Tarentum 724-224-1526 with Rev.
