Lisa Ann Smiesko

Lisa Ann Smiesko, 57, of Cheswick, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022 in the Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot, after being diagnosed with MBC Stage4 in 2011.

The only daughter of the late Helen (Pacek) and Emery Smiesko, she was born May 18, 1965. She was a 1983 graduate of Freeport Area High School.

Lisa had been employed as a waitress at the Natrona Heights Eat ‘n Park, then at Westfield Insurance in Wexford, and lastly at McRandal Plumbing and Heating in Blawnox for 15 years.

Survivors include her partner of 33 years, Richard (Rick) Rae, her daughter Nikki (Josh Cillo) Rae of Pittsburgh, her five brothers, David (Darlene) Smiesko, Parrish, FL, Dan (Barbara) Smiesko of Freeport, Steve (Lori) Smiesko of Winfield Twp., Russell of Butler, Pa., and Keith (Kathy Barger) of Buffalo Twp.; seven grandchildren Summer and LJ Machen of Lower Burrell, Connor, Cameron, and Abigail Brink, all of Lower Burrell, and Kayden and Arabella Cillo of Pittsburgh. Also surviving are four nieces, four nephews, three great nephews, two uncles and numerous cousins.

She leaves behind her very special friends Sandy, Jacquie, Tammy, Kristen, Sara, her loving sisters-in-law along with her dog, Silver, and her kitty cat, KC.

Lisa loved visiting with her friends at Clyde & Patti’s, playing pool with her brothers at Palko’s, and eating Heather’s delicious food from the Blue Haven.

She had two mottos in her life:  Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff and If I can make one person laugh my day was not wasted.
