Lois M. Clark

Lois M. (Carver) Clark, 99, went to her eternal resting place with Jesus on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Lois was born May 9, 1923 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Carl F. and Marie S. (Metzger) Carver. Lois graduated from Swissvale High School and married her sweetheart, Joseph F. Clark, Sr., before he was shipped off to WWII. She worked to help support the war effort at Wiggins in East Liberty. After the war, she raised 4 children while helping her husband run his business, Joe Clark Candies. She hand dipped thousands of pounds of individual pieces of chocolate covered fruits, nuts and creams, and made flowers for all the chocolate covered Easter eggs.

            Lois and her husband, Joe, moved to Florida after retirement. They were residents of Pompano Beach, where they both enjoyed playing golf at Pompano Beach Golf Club. Lois also belonged to the P.E.O. and the Elks. As a snowbird, she also belonged to Brackenridge Heights Country Club. Lois was a devout Christian and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Natrona Heights and enjoyed going to Coral Ridge and the new Presbyterian Church in Ft. Lauderdale.

            She is survived by her loving children, Joseph F. (Gerry) Clark, Jr., of Natrona Heights, John C. (Janette) Clark, of Freeport, Dr. James P. (Paula) Clark, of Wexford and Judith Wells, of Natrona Heights. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren, Dee Ann Clark, of Tarentum, Amanda (Jude) Vaughan, of NY, Joseph C. (Beth) Clark, of Indiana, John M. Clark, of South Dakota, Spencer K. Clark, of Natrona Heights, Jeffrey A. Clark, of VA, Beth Ann Clark, of San Diego, CA, Ariana and Carver Clark, of Freeport,  Dr. Brigitte A. (Mark) Clark, of Pittsburgh, and Zachary C. Wells, of Lower Burrell and 12 great grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister Shirley Bellas, Coraopolis.

            In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Joseph F. Clark, Sr., a brother Carl F. Carver, Jr., grandson Gregory L. Wells, Jr., and granddaughter Autumn E. Wells.

            A special thank you to AHN Hospice at Home Care, who took such good care of our Mom.

            Private family visitation and service will be held in Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Lois may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 1500 Broadview Blvd., Natrona Heights, PA 15065. VISIT: dusterfh.com
