Loretta S. Petrishen

Loretta S. “Susan” Petrishen, 80, of Natrona Heights, passed away at home, Sunday, February 12, 2023 with her family by her side. She was born October 29, 1942 in Harrison Township, to the late Steven and Edna (Felsman) Szymkowiak. She lived most of her life in Natrona Heights where she was a homemaker and also was a ward clerk at Allegheny Valley Hospital and a caregiver for several group home facilities as well as private home health caregiver. Loretta was of the Catholic faith and a 1960 graduate of Har Brack High School. She enjoyed cooking, baking and shopping with QVC and HSN, who will miss her dearly. Loretta especially enjoyed her family and talking to her sister daily, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

            Survivors include her children, Michele Petrishen (Tammy Rea), of Ashville, NY, Bridgette (Thomas) Ladie, of Buffalo Twp., Nick S. (Malissa) Petrishen, of Buffalo Twp.; grandchildren Courtney J. Petrishen, of Buffalo Twp., Danni S. Ladie, of Natrona Heights and Derek N. Petrishen, of Buffalo Twp. and 5 great grandchildren Jazlyn, Marquees, Nickyla “Nikki”, Uriah and Malek. Also surviving is her sister Michaelene Szymkowiak, of Aliquippa; various nieces and nephews including her late brother’s children, Michael, Kathy and David. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Nick J. Petrishen in 2019, brother Lawrence Szymkowiak and niece Karen.
