Louis A. Smith

            Louis A. Smith, 71, of Butler, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Saxony Health Center. He was born January 31, 1947 in Freeport to the late Erwin G. and Frances (Mack) Smith. Louis lived most of his life in Freeport. He was a Counselor Parent at George Jr. Republic in Grove City for 27 years. A veteran of the US Navy and member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights. Louis graduated from Freeport High School and earned a BS from LaRoche College. Louis enjoyed his monthly wine clubs and woodworking.

            Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Sandra (Roman) Smith, Butler, daughter Laura L. (Joshua P.) Beck, Lower Burrell and twin grandchildren, Layla and Cooper Beck. Also surviving is a sister Betty (Louis) Vodzak, Sarver.

            Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10^th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights. Burial in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Twp. with military honors by the US Navy.
