Lydia G. Detman, 62, of Shaler Twp., passed away Friday, September 30, 2022 at Canterbury Place, Lawrenceville following a brief illness. She was born January 9, 1960 in Harrison Twp., to the late William C. and Marian (Pracko) Detman. She has lived since 1987 in Shaler and prior to that Tarentum. Lydia was a homemaker and member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, St. Sebastian Church and the Brackenridge American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She graduated in 1978 from St. Joseph High School. Lydia was a generous, kind person whose passion was caring for family, friends and people in need.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Anthony C. Fuhrman; her sons Brandon C. Fuhrman, of Shaler Twp., Derek A. Fuhrman and fiancé Kasey McComb, of Allison Park and Matthew R. Fuhrman, of Shaler Twp. Also surviving is a great niece Justice Alexander who made her home with Lydia; her siblings Christopher Detman, of East Deer, Elaine Detman (Neal Macurdy), of Buffalo Twp. and Cynthia Knoch, of Tarentum. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Timothy Detman.
Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Twp.
