Margaret E. Janicik

Margaret E. Janicik, 96, formerly of Arnold, passed away Friday, November 9, 2018 at Platinum Ridge Nursing Home, Brackenridge. She was born November 2, 1922 in Tarentum to the late John and Eva (Heglas) Kucavik. Margaret lived in Arnold for 55 years and New Kensington for 6 years. She was a homemaker and member of the former All Saints Church, Arnold. Margaret graduated in 1941 from the former Tarentum High School and enjoyed gardening and flowers.

            Survivors include her children, David (Cindy) Janicik, New Kensington, Kevin (Rebecca) Janicik, Tarentum, Danelle M. (James) Dromey, Troy, OH, Carol (Robert) DeBlander, Dearborn, MI and Jayne Hecker, Ormond Beach, FL.; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister Elaine (Kenneth) Marino, Charlottesville, VA. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Daniel C. Janicik and sisters Anna Novick, Marian Porter, Josephine Pastorek and Emily Tomayko.

            Relatives and friends will be received Saturday from 8:45 AM till the time of Blessing service at 9:15 in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10^th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 followed by a Christian funeral mass at 9:30 AM in Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum.
