Margaret Ann (Hause) Strellec nicknamed Peggy passed away peacefully in her home with her loved ones by her side on Monday January 31, 2022. Peggy was the daughter of Herbert Hause and Catherine Grace McFall and a lifelong resident of Tarentum, PA. She was dedicated to her family and friends and to know her was to love her. She was an accomplished baker and was known for her exceptional pies. She had many jobs across her nearly 99 years but her favorite was real estate. She became an avid Steelers and Notre Dame football fan in her later years. She could spot a four-leaf clover in minutes and was very proud of her German and Scotch-Irish ancestry. The family is grateful for the care offered by the Benedum Geriatric Center and the Magee hospital staff and home caregivers. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her but her warmth, kindness and easy laugh live on in our sweet memories.
Survived by daughters Judith (Dr. Murray T.) Charlson and Kathy Jo (Steven C.) Vargo, son John Strellec, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, daughter-in-law Pamela Strellec, wife of David, and sister-in-law Pat Strellec, wife of Richard “Ding” Strellec. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph A. Strellec, Jr. and sons David and Mark Strellec.
