Mark A. Magoc "Hanes", 70, of Tarentum passed away at home on Saturday, September 6, 2025, after a yearlong battle with cancer. He was born August 6, 1955, in Harrison Township to the late John and Justine (Lisko) Magoc. Mark lived his entire life in Tarentum and was an electrician for Pittsburgh Corning Corp., Plum Boro for 40 years. He was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Campus, Natrona Heights, Tarentum Jednota and a life member of Summit Hose #3 Fire Department for 50 years where he was very involved as well as community services. Mark graduated from Highlands High School in 1973 and was a Pittsburgh sports fan.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Alice M. (Brown) Magoc; his children Robin M. Magoc, of Tarentum, Mark P. (Nichole) Magoc, of Tarentum, Amber (Paul) Berzonski, of Arnold and Victoria A. Magoc, of Tarentum. Also surviving are many grandchildren and his sisters Paula (Frank) Leipertz, of Lafayette, IN and Phyllis (Edward) Meier, of Lower Burrell. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother John Magoc.
Visitation Wednesday from 2-4 and 6PM until the time of service at 7PM by Summit Hose in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights. Burial will be private at Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
