Mark A. Pracko, passed away, Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 2:29 AM at Allegheny Valley Hospital after a 2-month illness. Mark was born January 11, 1957 in Tarentum, PA to Aloysius R. Pracko and Margaret Augustine. He lived in Natrona and Natrona Heights most of his life. He was member of St. Mathias Slovak Catholic Church. He attended St. Mathias grade school and St. Joseph High School, where he played J.V. and Varsity basketball. He attended Westminster College for 2 years. Mark worked at a variety of jobs, including bartending at the Paddock, where he made many friends. He worked at Allegheny Ludlum Steel (Now ATI) for over 30 years in many capacities, ending his career with several years running Central Shipping.

Mark was a great son, including helping provide care for his father, his mother, and his Aunt Louise for many years. He was the best brother. His friends described him as an all-around great guy. Mark had a good heart and never said no to helping a friend or someone in need. He had a quick wit and an amazing sense of humor, often sarcastic, and the best one-liners, but was always the first to laugh at himself. Everyone who ran into him left smiling and laughing. Mark was unforgettable. He enjoyed golfing, watching old movies, and spending time with friends, family, and with his various dogs, which he loved dearly and spoiled. He was a life member of the Elks, twice Past Exalted Ruler, and was a member of the Tarentum Area Lions Club, Tarentum Eagles and social member of Tarentum VFW. He will be greatly missed by his many and varied friends, his family, and especially his sister, Michelle Pracko. Anyone wishing to remember Mark may make a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Animal Protectors of New Kensington.
