Martha J. Gregoire

Martha J. Gregoire, 90, formerly of Fawn Twp., passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Allegheny Health Network, Brentwood Hospital following a brief illness. She was born June 6, 1931 in Lower Burrell to the late George and Martha (Ries) Spiering. Martha lived most of her life in Fawn Township and the past 6 months in Baldwin with her daughter. She was a homemaker and a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum. Martha graduated from New Kensington High School in 1949 and enjoyed flower gardening with her daughter in law Charlene, dancing with her late husband and jigsaw puzzles. Martha especially enjoyed spending time with her family, children, grand and great grandchildren.

            Survivors include her children, Donna J. Lambert, of Baldwin Boro with whom she resided, David N. Gregoire, of Butler, Debra A. Homoki, of Harrisburg and Daniel A. (Charlene) Gregoire, of Buffalo Twp.; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers Joseph Spiering, of Lower Burrell and Frank Spiering, of Allegheny Township. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Nestor A. Gregoire, Jr. in 2015; grandchildren Scott Gregoire and Chloe Gregoire. Her siblings George, Laurence, Chuck, Edward, James “Homer”, Thomas and Robert Spiering, Sally Joswig, Eleanor Lorant, Evelyn Dudek, Mae Boyer and Delores Slinker; daughter in law Deborah Gregoire and two sons in laws Thomas Lambert and Carl Lahm.

            Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10^th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian funeral mass will be conducted Saturday at 10 AM in Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. VISIT: dusterfh.com
