Martha Jane Misutka, 91, of Springdale Twp., passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 at Quality Life Services, Winfield Township. She was born July 26, 1930 in New Kensington, to the late Albert and Rita (Mori) Belinotti. Martha lived the past 27 years in Harwick and prior to that East Deer. Martha graduated from East Deer Frazer High School in 1947, and earned was a graduate of Saint Francis School of Nursing 1950 and Boyce Junior College for Psychiatric Nursing. As a RN she worked for Citizens General Hospital, New Kensington, Public Health Nurse for Allegheny Co., Industrial Nurse at PPG Research Center and at the Veterans Administration Hospitals of Oakland, Aspinwall and Highland Drive.
She was a member of NARFE (National Active and Retired Federal Employees), PA Nurses health study for 39 years, Cambridge Bells Red Hat Society, Cheswick, Springdale Woman’s club, Saint Francis Alumni Association and member of Our Lady of Victory Church, Harwick. She enjoyed traveling, theater, opera and movies. Martha was an avid reader, enjoyed Italian cooking and loved her family, nieces, nephews and relatives.
Survivors include her son Mark J. Misutka, of Springdale Township; 5 nieces, 6 nephews and numerous cousins. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Misutka, Sr., son Joseph C. Misutka, Jr and her brother Albert Belinotti.
A memorial mass will be celebrated Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 10 Am in Our Lady of Victory Church, Harwick. Private interment in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Twp. In lieu of flowers those who wish to donate to Our Lady of Victory Church building fund or their local food bank. VISIT: dusterfh.com
