Mary Ann Bridget Jankowski, 86 of Tarentum passed away Monday, January 14, 2019 at St. Margaret Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born May 16, 1932 in Somerset, PA, to the late Daniel A. and Orpha L. (Grant) Joyce. She lived most of her life in the area where she was a homemaker and also a Beautician and certified teacher of cosmetology. Mary Ann was a member of Holy Family Church, Creighton and regularly attended Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum. She graduated in 1950 from Tarentum High School, Mason Felix Beauty Academy in New Kensington and earned an Associate’s degree in Medical Records from CCAC, Boyce Campus. Mary Ann was very active in her church and was a Eucharistic Minister, member of Christian Mothers of Holy Martyrs; she was an avid reader and enjoyed bowling. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her children Maureen (John “Jack”) King, Plum, Deborah J. Jankowski, West Deer Twp., Robert (Linda Romanelli) Jankowski, Tarentum, Raymond Jankowski, Tarentum and Daniel (Jerrilynne) Jankowski, Fawn Twp.; grandchildren Edward (Kelly), Jacqueline (Ben), Lisa (John), Evan, Elyssa, Robert Jr. (Amanda), Bethany and Justin; great grandchildren Norah, Hattie, Emma, Hazel and Rylan. Also surviving is a sister Elizabeth Montoya, Freemont, CA. Besides her parents she was preceded by her husband John S. Jankowski, Sr. in 2013, a son John S. Jankowski, Jr. in 2003; and her siblings David, Daniel and John Joyce, Helen Stabile and Margaret Sherwood.
Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian funeral mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 AM in Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum. Burial in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. VISIT: dusterfh.com
