Mary Jane Ceschini

Mary Jane Ceschini, 88, of East Deer Township, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights following a brief illness. She was born July 16, 1934 in New Kensington to the late Andrew and Esther (Iwanski) Bordell. She lived most of her life in Tarentum where she was a homemaker. Mary Jane also worked at Mellon Bank, New Kensington as a bank book keeper and was a front office clerk for Comcast. She was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, former Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum. Mary Jane graduated from New Ken High School in 1951. She was very active in her church, the former Holy Martyr’s, where she was a Eucharistic minister, member and former President of Christian Mothers. Mary Jane taught CCD classes and was an avid church goer. Mary Jane enjoyed putting puzzles together and reading. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren.

            Survivors include her sons, Kenneth (Ellen Ruth) Ceschini, of Port St. Lucie, FL, Thomas (Dana) Ceschini, of Natrona Heights, David (Gina) Ceschini, of Lower Burrell and Michael (Linda) Ceschini, of Natrona Heights; grandchildren Shawn Ceschini, Kenneth Ceschini, Jr., Heather (Bryan) Barradale, Jason (Kindall) Ceschini, Alex (Steven) Newbrough, Morgan Ceschini and Matthew Ceschini and two great grandchildren Robert Ceschini and Evelyn Newbrough. Also surviving is a sister Dottie Hockenberry, of Natrona Heights. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia Menhart and Irene Bobrukiewicz and by her husband Eugene S. “Gene” Ceschini, April 2, 2021.

            Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday, April 11 in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, April 12 at 10:30 AM in St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, New Kensington with Very Rev. Kenneth G. Zaccagnini, officiating.
