Mary E. Massart, 95, of Natrona Heights, passed away Monday, January 10, 2022 at West Haven Nursing Home, Apollo. She was born July 25, 1926 in Natrona to the late Lloyd and Mary (Slomkowski) Stoops. Mary lived most of her life in Natrona Heights and was the former co-owner of Massart’s restaurant, Tarentum with her late husband for over 40 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Brackenridge.

            Survivors include her children Kirk A. (Mickey) Massart, of Natrona Heights and Lori M. (Keith A.) Smail, of Upper Burrell; grandchildren Taylor Massart, Marissa Smail, Carly (Ryan) McSween and Breanna (Scott)Thompson; great grandchildren Rosemary and Jameson Thompson. Also surviving is a sister Helen Jane Welsh, of FL. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold M. Massart in 1996; and her siblings Frances Watson, Lloyd Stoops and Lawrence Stoops.

            Visitation Wednesday from 5PM until the time of service at 7PM in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 with Rev. Gregory L. Spencer, officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. The family requests that masks be worn. VISIT: dusterfh.com
