Mary A. Sadecky

            Mary A. Sadecky, 90, of Tarentum, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023. She was born June 28, 1933 in Creighton, East Deer Twp., to the late John and Mary (Skalko) Basista. She lived her entire life in Tarentum where she was a homemaker. Mary also was employed for a time at both PPG Industries in Creighton and the Catholic Cemetery Association. She was a member of the former St. Clement & Holy Martyr’s church, currently a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Campus, Natrona Heights. Mary graduated from East Deer Frazer High school in 1951. She was the matriarch of her family and was an exceptional cook, she was formerly very active in St. Clement and Holy Martyrs churches. Mary especially enjoyed spending time with her family, children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren.

            Survivors include her son, Ronald T. (Alma) Gumbosky,Jr., of Winfield Twp., granddaughter April (Evan Ward) Gumbosky, of New Kensington and great grandchildren Charlie and Sam Ward. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her 1^st husband Ronald T. Gumbosky, Sr., 2^nd husband Bela Sadecky , her son Joseph Gumbosky and two brothers Charles and John Basista.

            Visitation Sunday 6-8 PM and 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10^th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights. Burial will be in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Twp. VISIT: DusterFH.com
