Mary Catherine Stewart

Mary Catherine Stewart, 90, of Natrona Heights, passed away Saturday morning, January 23, 2021, at her residence. She was born December 8, 1930 in Oakmont, to the late Joseph and Mary Woodson Garner. 

She worked in retail, most notably at Hart’s Department Store for 27 years, Lazarus, and Favored Occasions Bridal.

She enjoyed the casino, playing bingo with her friends, traveling, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Charles E. (Martha Collins) Stewart, Jr., of West End, NC, Marcia Stewart of Lumberton, NC, Charlotte Stewart, of Natrona Heights, Steven (Barbara) Stewart of New Kensington; sister, Ruth Adele Garner of Verona; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Stewart, Sr.; brothers, John, David and Raymond Garner; and sisters, Florence “Rita” Miller, Thelma "Tootsie" Morgan and Lillian Nevel.
