Michael Wayne Meyers

Michael Wayne Meyers, 78, formerly of New Kensington, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia. He was born October 6, 1942 in Turtle Creek, PA to the late Joseph Edgar and Margaret (Walsh) Meyers. Michael lived most of his life in New Kensington and was a Production Planner at Westinghouse for 24 years. He was a veteran of the US Navy and a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Tarentum and Seventh Street Sportsman’s Club, New Kensington. Michael graduated from Turtle Creek High School.

            Survivors include his wife of 49 years Mary Jo (Negrey) Meyers; son David (Liana) Meyers, of Winter Haven, FL and 4 grandsons and 6 great grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings Bernard Meyers, of Valencia and James Meyers, of NJ. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son Scott Wayne Meyers and a sisters Mary Lou Ferri.

            Visitation Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 PM In the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10^th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where a Panachida will be held on Friday at 9:30 am followed by a Divine Liturgy at 10 am in Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Tarentum with Rev. Vasyl Polyak, officiating. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Lower Burrell. A Parastas will be celebrated Thursday at 6PM in the funeral home.
