Michael V. Stroud, 50, of Tarentum, passed away at home, Saturday, December 25, 2021 following a valiant 2-year battle with cancer. He was born January 2, 1971 in New Kensington to the late Clifford M. and Geraldine A. (Brasfield) Stroud, Sr. Michael lived his entire life in the area and was a 1988 graduated of Highlands High School where he played football and was on the track team. After high school he worked for a time at Weleski Transfer in Tarentum. He retired from Verizon in 2015 after 22 years where he was in Maintenance Administrator. Michael attended Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, New Kensington and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Brackenridge. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and enjoyed traveling and cooking. Michael especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his loving soulmate and best friend of 17 years, Michele N. Mastroberardino; brother Clifford. M. Stroud, Jr., of Tarentum and nephew Clifford M. Stroud, III, of Pittsburgh. Also surviving are many loving, Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
Michael was an incredible man who brought love and laughter to all that knew him. Along with his beautiful and contagious smile, he had a big presence and an even bigger heart. He was a true blessing to all his friends and family.
