Mike P. Gavula

Mike P. Gavula, 94, of Natrona Heights, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023 at VA Nursing Home, Aspinwall. He was born February 21, 1929 in Mt. Pleasant, PA to the late Mike P. and Veronica (Fedoriska) Gavula, Sr. Mike lived most of his life in Natrona Heights and was a laborer for Pullman Standard in Butler. He was a veteran of WWII and Korea serving in the US Army and Marines. Mike was an avid golfer, enjoyed gardening and spending time with his friends and family.

            Survivors include his wife Gloria A. (Scopel) Gavula; son Erik (Audrey) Gavula, of Mars, PA; step daughters Robin Nealer, of Pasadena, MD and Tammy A. (Mark) Fleck, of Natrona Heights. Granddaughter Rooney Gavula, of Mars, numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Also, surviving is his brother John Gavula, of Fallbrook, CA and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Mary Ruman and step son Charles Myers.

            Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial gathering on Sunday, June 11, 2023 from 1-2PM in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10^th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526.
