Mona Jean McGregor

Mona Jean McGregor, 83, of Buffalo Township, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025 at Platinum Ridge Nursing Home, Brackenridge following a lingering illness. She was born March 31, 1941 in Harrison Township to the late Edward D. and Loretta B. (Simmers) Betush. Mona Jean formerly lived in Fawn Twp. And Natrona Heights. Mona worked at Allegheny Valley Hospital for 40+ years in the Heart Cath lab, X-Ray and records departments. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Natrona Heights, where she served the Lord in everything she did. She was a 1959 graduate of Freeport High School and enjoyed reading the Bible, cooking, baking and was a fan of baseball, football and hockey. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children Kevin R. (Lori) McGregor, of Buffalo Twp. And Carrie L. Phillippi, of Tarentum; grandchildren Shane (Holly) McGregor, of Sarver, Andrew (Madi) Crawford, of Kittanning, Sierra McGregor, of FL, Richard (Alysa) Filous, of Penn Hills, Cory Phillippi (Samantha), of Sarver, Josh (Stacy)Phillippi, of Tarentum. Also surviving are her sisters, Marlene (Lou) Brestensky, Worthington and Darlene (Jake) McCurdy, of Saxonburg and brother Ken Betush, of Lower Burrell. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Patricia Peiffer and a brother Edward Betush.
