Monica L. Rupert, 63, of Arnold, passed away at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. She was born April 25, 1961 in Harrison Township to Frances J. (Stanish) Sebak of New Kensington, and the late John A. Sebak. Monica lived the past 25 years in Arnold, and prior to that lived in Tarentum and Natrona Heights. She was a 1979 graduate of St. Joseph High School, and also graduated from the Newport Business Institute in New Kensington. Monica worked as a lab technician for several companies, including the former Gulf Research in Harmarville, PPG in Springdale, Cardello Electric Supply in New Kensington, and Giant Eagle in RIDC Park. Monica was a member of St. Mary of Czestochowa Church in New Kensington, Outdoor Life Lodge of Fawn Township, Slovak Club in Arnold, and the Arnold #2 Firemen’s Club. In her free time she enjoyed traveling, scrapbooking, and spending time at her family camp in Kittanning.
Monica is survived by her husband of 35 years, Raymond D. “Denny” Rupert of Arnold, son Dennis A. (Nicole) Rupert of New Kensington and stepson Brandon (Karlyn) Rupert of Washington Township. She is also survived by brothers John A. Sebak of Gibsonia, and Anthony (Connie) Sebak of Lower Burrell, sister Debbie (Ron) Schick of Allegheny Township, grandson Chase M. Rupert, granddaughter Nina G. Rupert, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Monica was preceded in death by her father, John A. Sebak in 2020
A visitation will be held Friday, July 26th from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 East 10th Avenue, Tarentum 15084, (724)-224-1526. A Christian funeral mass will be conducted Saturday, 10 AM at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, New Kensington. Entombment to follow in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Township. VISIT: dusterfh.com
