Nancy L. Turner, 92, formerly of Arnold and New Kensington, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023 at Embassy of Saxonburg. She was born April 6, 1931 in Tarentum, daughter of the late Richard and Catherine (Ambrose) Simpson. Nancy was a homemaker and also worked in the Valley News Mail room, Saul’s Army store and Tony Mazza Deli. She was a member of Janes United Methodist Church in Creighton and United Methodist Women. Nancy graduated from Tarentum High School and enjoyed stock car racing. She especially enjoyed her family, children, grand and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Ann (Donald) Henry, of Buffalo Twp. and Sandra Kathryn (Alex) Spiering, of Lower Burrell. Grandchildren James (Heather) Henry, Kenneth Henry, both of Buffalo Twp., Pastor Clint (Karla) Phillips, of Lower Burrell and Brandy (Tyler) Weyandt, of Arnold; great grandchildren Bailie, Madison and Avery Henry and Sarah Phillips and Isaiah Phillips. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George D. Turner and her siblings, Louis, George and James Simpson, Cecelia Kamer, Elizabeth Parry, Lillian Kish, Beverly Callen and infants Richard an Edna.
Visitation 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Services will be held Friday at 11 AM in Janes United Methodist Church, Creighton, with her grandson Pastor Clint Phillips, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
