Nicholas Cheran, Jr. (Nabs), 92, of Fawn Township passed away Tuesday, December 13th , 2022, peacefully at his home. He was born June 23rd , 1930, in Curtisville, West Deer, son of the late Nick and Daisy Cheran. Nick was married to his loving wife, Joan Stobert, of Fawn Township for 59 years. An army veteran, he served from 1953 to 1955 in Germany, before being honorably discharged. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Buffalo Township. Mr. Cheran was a fitter for steel mill machinery and retired from Herr Voss in 1993. Nabs enjoyed building/flying model airplanes and spending time with family and friends.
He leaves behind daughters, Cherrie Cheran (Howie Rossman) and Cheyanne (Damian) Martucci; grandchildren, Nicole (Thomas Spencer), Katie (Beau) Key, Sara (Joe) Celko, Andre (Veronica Heithaus) great-grandchildren Cole, Jocelyn, Jordan, Kaiha, Joey, River, Alexander; sister Judy Potkovich. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Dennis Cheran, in 2001, his wife Joan in 2012, grandson Stephan Moskhalis, in 2017, brothers Ronald, George, Robert, and sisters Rose, Elsie Nucera and Charlotte Lowery.
Visitation Saturday from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 11 AM in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 with Bishop Brandon H. Bodily, officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Twp. VISIT:dusterfh.com
