Norman W. Schreckengost, Sr.

Norman W. Schreckengost, Sr., 94 formerly of Fawn Twp., passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights following a brief illness. He was born March 29, 1923 in Natrona Heights to the late Albert and Mary (Yockey) Schreckengost. Norman lived most of his life in Fawn Twp. and the past few years in Natrona Heights. He was a crane man for Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp., Brackenridge for 43 years before retiring in 1983. Norman was a veteran of the US Army serving in WWII. He was of the Presbyterian faith and enjoyed hunting and playing cards.           Survivors include his children, Norma Jean (George) Conroy, Natrona Heights, Norman W. (Chris) Schreckengost, Jr., Sigel, Mary Ann Little, Lisbon, OH and Richard L. (Melody)  Schreckengost, Buffalo Twp., also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn C. (Allport) Schreckengost in 2000; grandson Joseph Schreckengost, brothers Samuel and Albert Schreckengost and Sisters Twila Bowser, Violet Callen, and Nancy and Gracie Schreckengost.           Visitation 2-4 and 6-8PM Friday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where services will be held on Saturday at 11AM with Rev.
