Pamela J. (Pilston) James, 57, of Brackenridge passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at St. Margaret Hospital, Pittsburgh following a brief illness. She was born March 28, 1960 in Harrison Township to the late William R. and Mary L. (Uleski) Pilston. Pam lived her entire life in the Tarentum and Brackenridge area. Pam graduated from Highlands High School in 1978 and worked retail at Ames Department store in Harmarville until its closing and was most recently employed at Joe Clark Candy, Tarentum. She was the color guard instructor for the Highland Cavaliers Jr. Baton and Drum Corp for 14 years. She was also an owner of “P and T James Racing Team”. Pam traveled the country working on the AHDRA racing circuit as a racer registrar. Pam was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins hockey fan and was a long standing season ticket holder. She enjoyed gardening, bingo and making crafts. She delighted in making original Halloween costumes for family and friends. Pam was passionate about her pets, her special cats, Harley, Nitro, Buell and Onyx.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years Timothy A. James; siblings William R. (Mary Ann LaFayette) Pilston, Jr., Gulf Shores, AL, Linda Hepler, Tucson, AZ, Cheryl (Raymond) Fortuna, Fawn Twp., Barbara (Rodger) O’Toole, Plum Borough, Ronna Brown Pilston, Plum Borough, Karen (Dennis) Myers, Plum Borough, Cynthia Pilston (Todd Coudriet), Brackenridge, Scott (Lisette Houy) Pilston, Plum Borough and Rebecca (Jeffrey) Burchell, Natrona Heights; brother in law and spouse Tom and Penny James, Saxonburg, 49 nieces and nephews and an aunt Pauline Michalek, Ann Arbor, MI. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Thomas Pilston and a niece Tara Lynne Pilston.
Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 PM Saturday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where services will be held on Sunday at 11 AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to Eureka Fire, Rescue and EMS or Animal Protectors of New Kensington. VISIT: dusterfh.com
