Patricia Chernan

Patricia (Murray) Chernan, 93, of Tarentum passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 4, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 11, 1931 in Curtisville, daughter of the late William and Margaret (McCallister) Murray. Pat graduated from Edinboro State in 1954 and spent her first three years teaching 2nd grade at Pine Richland before taking a first-grade position in West Deer Township, where she made lifelong friends and taught for 33 years. Pat was a lover of life, always positive and generous to all. She enjoyed travelling, bus trips and online shopping. QVC stock is bound to plumet having lost their greatest supporter. Her memory will always be cherished by those who knew her. 

 Survivors include Rosalie (Stanley) Watychowicz, Larry (Helen) and Winifred (Carmen) and nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Carl M. Chernan in 2022 and siblings Regis (Modie), Margaret (Tony), William (Hilda), Ellen, Francis (Rose), and John (JoEllen).
