Patricia A. Sims

        Patricia Ann Sims, 84, of Natrona Heights, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Platinum Ridge Rehabilitation, Brackenridge where she was a resident the past year. She was born April 10, 1939 in Harrison Township to the late Archie and Betty (Herold) McCurdy. Patricia lived most of life in Tarentum and Natrona Heights where she was a homemaker, she also worked at Allegheny Valley Hospital in the dietary department, as a daycare teacher and a bus aide. Patricia was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Natrona Heights. She was a 1958 graduate of Har Brack High School and enjoyed crocheting, bingo and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandson.

            Survivors include her daughter, Paula (Eric) Fleming, of Natrona Heights and grandson Brendan Sims. Step grandchildren  Devin McElfresh, Lynze Cosgrove and step great grandchildren Bella, Ali, Ivy, Tallen, Levi and Dana. Also surviving are her siblings James (Patricia) McCurdy, of Freeport, David (Debra) McCurdy, of Brackenridge, Jean McClure, of Sarver, Carol Tabacheck, of Springdale, Gayle (Gordon) Brenneman, of Freeport and Betty (Richard) Markovich, of Saxonburg and David and Eli Lott, of Natrona Heights who called her grandma Pat. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by husband William Bricker Sims and a brother Howard McCurdy.

            Visitation will be Thursday from 1-5 PM and 6-8 PM in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10^th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where services will be on Friday at 11 AM with her niece Elaine Brenneman, officiating. Burial will be private. VISIT:DusterFH.com
