Raymond C. “Russ” Albaugh, 88, of Tarentum, passed away Monday, February 2, 2026 at St. John’s Specialty Care Center, Mars, PA. He was born November 10, 1937 in New Kensington. He was a postmaster for 40 years for US Postal Service, Tarentum, was Postmaster for Hyde Park and Bakerstown. Russ was a US Army E-7 Master Sergeant. He was of the Free Methodist faith and a 1956 graduate of Har Brack High School. Russ was also a Lay minister for the Free Methodist Church, member of the NRA, gun collector and enjoyed military history.
Survivors include his grandchildren, Raelene (Jason Veri) Thompson, of Tarentum and Cody (Stephanie) Smith, of Kittanning; and grandchildren Chloe Thompson and Braxton and Layken Smith. Also surviving are his siblings Lee McKelvey and Dixie McKelvey. Russ was preceded in death by his wife Adagail “Gail” (Sharer) Albaugh; daughter Tracy Smith and son in law Dana Smith.
Visitation 1-3 and 5-7 PM Thursday in Duster Funeral & Cremation E- Services, Inc. 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where services will be held on Friday at 11 AM with Rev. Jeremy D.
