Rebecca Abrams, 84 of Natrona Heights, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born November 2, 1933 in Perry, FL to the late Charlie and Ollie (West) Simmons. Rebecca lived most of her life in Natrona Heights and Brackenridge. She was an inspector for the former Westinghouse Electric Company in Cheswick for 20 years. Rebecca was a member of the Bethel AME Church, Tarentum and was active in the church. She enjoyed traveling, bingo, cooking, baking, but especially enjoyed spending time with family, children and grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca M. (John) Valentine, Pasadena, CA, son, Marvin (Angela) Abrams, Natrona Heights with a dual residence with his wife and children in Lawrenceville, GA; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother Robert (Gertrude) Simmons, Natrona Heights. Besides parents she was preceded in death by her former husband Robert L. Abrams, Sr. in 1992; son Robert Abrams, Jr., brothers James, Jonnie and Albert Simmons and sisters Ollie Jones, Pauline Lee, Margaret Maxwell and Arabelle White.
