Rev. Robert B. Walker, 80, of Natrona Heights, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born December 1, 1941 in Peabody, MA to the late Richard R. and Dorothy (Knowles) Walker. Rev. Walker lived the past 35 years in Natrona Heights and prior to that Lincolnville, PA. He was a baptist minister for 30 years at First Baptist Church, Tarentum and 15 years at Lincolnville Baptist Church, Lincolnville, PA. Rev. Walker was a board member at Allegheny Valley Association of Churches, was a Chaplain for 2 years in Camp Hart Scout Camp where he received the order of Arrow. He was a 1959 graduate of Peabody High School, earned his BA at Barrington College and his Masters of Divinity from Eastern Baptist Seminary, Philadelphia, PA. Rev. Walker enjoyed reading, walking, refinishing antiques and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mary E. (Anderson) Walker; his sons Stephen G. (Melissa) Walker, of Mundelein, IL, Gregory B. (Lynette) Walker, of Homer City, Jason A. (Aimee) Walker, of Natrona Heights and Kent M. (Michele) Walker, of Vandergrift. Also surviving are his grandchildren Zoe, Max, Giavanna, Tori, Abram, Brooke and Drew Walker and sister-in-law Carol Walker, of Washington. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Lawrence, Richard and his twin William Walker and a sister Susan McGrath.
Visitation Friday 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 AM in First Baptist Church, Tarentum with Rev. Kenneth E. Thompson and Rev. Dr. Felicia Brock, officiating. Burial will be private.
