Richard D. McHenry, 76, of Tarentum, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a lengthy illness. He was born March 26, 1941 in Meadville, PA, to the late Mernice and Ada (Walters) McHenry. Richard lived most of his life in Tarentum. He was a painter for Bob Thimons, Shadyside Academy and did residential and commercial painting. Richard enjoyed camping and spending his winter’s in Florida in his motor home.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Dorothy K. (Sturm) McHenry; step son Kerry Laser, Wilkins Twp.; Brother Kenneth (Erma) McHenry, Everett, PA and a number of nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by 5 brothers Howard, Homer, Clifford, Herbert and Louis McHenry and 3 sisters Esther Felsing, Aldene Beacom and Jane McHenry.
Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where services will be held on Thursday at 11 Am.
