Richard Stabile, Jr., 67, of Gilpin Township, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born February 6, 1954, a son of Richard Stabile, Sr., of New York and the late Gerarda (Fyfe) Stabile. Richard lived most of his life in Tarentum. He was an electrician in the construction industry and also was a consultant for Devlin Electric in Freeport. Richard was a member of the Tarentum Eagles where he was the former trustee for 7 years, Outdoor Life Lodge, Fawn Twp. and the Tarentum Jednota. He graduated from Livingston Manor Central School in NY and electrical school. Richard was an avid archery hunter, enjoyed boating and spending time on and at the river with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Deborah P. “Debbie” Stabile; a daughter Deanna A. McQuade and fiancé Russ Evans, of Natrona Heights; grandchildren 1st Class Airman Noah McQuade and Nicholas McQuade, of Natrona Heights. Step children David (Kelly) Colledge, of Penn Hills and Diana (John) Moore, of Sharpsburg; step grandchildren Morgan, Katie, Livy, E.J., Pam and Alex. Also surviving are his siblings Margaret Annastas and Art, of NY, Gerry Stabile, of NY, Toots (John) Mazza, of NY and Betsy (Tom) Elliott, of CA , numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved kitties Camo and Jeff. Besides his mother he was preceded in death by a nephew Zach Elliott of California. A special thank you to the nurses and staff at St. Margaret’s hospital ICU, 3rd floor and palliative care for their kind and compassionate care for our family.
Visitation 2-8 PM Monday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where services will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to St. Margaret Foundation or Thomas E. Starzl Transplantation Institute.
