Robert J. Singer

Robert J. Singer, 73, of New Kensington, passed away at home on Thursday, September 25, 2025, following a year and a half illness. He was born January 28, 1952 in Harrison Township to the late Robert W. and Dolores J. “Peggy” (Rigatti) Singer, Jr. Robert has lived the past 11 years in New Kensington and prior to that most of his life in Natrona Heights. He was the Owner/Operator of the former Do Drop Inn, Natrona Heights until his retirement in 2013. Robert was a member of the New Kensington Eagles, life member of Lower Burrell VFW and Arnold Fire Dept. #2. He was a 1969 graduate of Highlands High School, the first class of Har Brack that graduated from Highlands and competed in cross country. He was a coach for many years for the Highland Hornet Football, enjoyed South Buffalo Sportsman trap shooting, loved to cook and entertain and his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and his bowling and dart league.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Gwen L. Singer; son William J. Singer, of Natrona Heights and step daughter Gail Leyland, of Ford City. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, Bailey, William, Jarrod, Robert, John and Trent Singer; step grandchildren Caleb, Chrisitan Leyland and Marcellus and Mariana Duncan and his sister Shelly (Mark A.) Marshall, of South Buffalo Twp. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son Joseph M. Singer, sister Pamela Monti and step son Frederick Leyland.
