Russell L. Hess

Russell  L.  Hess,  91 of Fawn Twp, passed away Saturday, December 15,2018 at Aspinwall Veterans Administration Hospital. Born November 24,1927 in Fawn Twp, a son of the late Edward and Cora (Kelly) Hess. Russell lived his entire life in Fawn Twp,and was a Railroad Engineer for Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp, Brackenridge from where he retired after 42 yrs. He was a  veteran of  World War II  serving with the Army of occupation in Korea. Russell was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Natrona Heights, and the Natrona Heights VFW. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Russell is survived by his wife of 66 yrs,Eleanor J. (Yeasted)  Hess, children, Dean Hess, Pittsburgh,Marcia L. (Luke) Thompson,Fawn Twp., and Ralph Hess ,Winfield Twp., a grandson, Luke A. Thompson, Daytona Beach, Fl,and a brother, Richard (Leona) Hess of Buffalo Twp. Visitation will be on Wed,Dec 19th from 9AM until the time of the Service at 11AM in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 East 10th Ave, Tarentum, Pa.15084 724-224-1526  with his Pastor, Rev. Barbara A. Ravenshahl officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Twp.
