Sadie A. “Babe” Tutka, 91, of Natrona Heights, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday August 3, 2022 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. She was born September 3, 1930 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Charles and Agnes (Hrubiak) LaScola and grew up on the Northside. She graduated from Perry High School in 1948 and married Rudy Tutka in 1950. After working for the IRS and then the Valley Daily News, before settling in Natrona Heights and raising six children. Babe was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights. She enjoyed reading, cooking, baking and cooking shows on tv. Babe’s feisty intellect, curiosity and irreverent humor were her trademarks. She could always be counted upon to send a card to mark a birthday, wedding, express sympathy or just say “hello”.
She leaves behind her children, Karen (Jack) Richards and Kimberly (Doug) Lamer and grandchildren Sadie (Thomas) Pacek and Lukas Lamer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rudolph A. Tutka January 21, 1999, her brother Chuck and her sister Beatrice.
Visitation 3-7 PM Sunday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where a blessing service will be held Monday at 10 AM. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. Facemasks are optional. VISIT: dusterfh.com
