Salvatore Lopreiato, 84, of Brackenridge, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. He was born March 23, 1937 in Sant’onofrio, Calabria, Italy to the late Domenico and Palma Lopreiato. Salvatore has lived in the US since 1967 and prior to that Italy. He was a carpenter for #1160 Carpenter’s Union and of the Catholic faith. Salvatore graduated from High School in Italy and was a member of the Spartaco Club in Arnold. He enjoyed Bocci and making wine.
Survivors include his daughters, Palma Lopreiato, of New Kensington and Patrizia “Trish” (Steven) Peters, of Brackenridge; grandchildren Elyshia Truckley, Victoria Lopreiato, Anthony, Izabella and Domenico Hails, Darla (Dan) Rote and Riley (Anie) Peters; great grandchildren Sophia, Damion and Kendall. Also surviving is a brother Guiseppe Lopreiato, of Brackenridge. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Pauline M. (Marasia) Lopreiato; siblings, Mena Cugliari, Domenico, Nino, Fedele and Giovanne Battista and Mara Teresa; and nephews Domenico, Ventrice, Salvatore and Domenico.
Visitation Wednesday from 3-7 PM and Thursday 10 am until the time of service at 11 AM in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 with Pastor Jeremy D. Olszewski, officiating. Entombment in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. VISIT: dusterfh.com
