Sandra “Sandy” M. Trulson, 80, passed away March 6, 2021 at Lake Manassas Health and Rehabilitation Center, Gainesville, Virginia.
Sandy was born on April 7, 1940, in Tarentum, Pennsylvania, moved to Brevard County Florida in 1969, and settled in Sebastian Florida in 1993 where she lived until 2020. At that time she made her way back north, spending time with her oldest daughter and family in Tennessee and finally ending in Warrenton, Virginia with her youngest daughter and family.
She graduated Indiana State College in Indiana, Pennsylvania in 1962 and married her true love, Bill, in 1963. She retired as a teacher, having taught at Bon Air Elementary in Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania, Kingston Elementary in Kingston, Massachusetts, St. Teresa Catholic School in Titusville, Florida and St. Joseph Catholic School in Palm Bay, Florida.
Sandy was a member of St. Sebastian Church in Sebastian, Florida and enjoyed crafting, often bestowing handmade bookmarks and magnets to family and friends. She also enjoyed cooking and baking and was always in search of new recipes to try.
Her time with family and friends was extremely special to her, and she looked forward to any holidays or ordinary opportunity to gather, share laughter and good times together. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she would stuff stockings for Santa to pass out at an annual community event.
Sandy was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Trulson, her parents Arthur L. Errico and Henrietta A. Duster, her brother Donald, sisters-in-law Fran, Marion, Dot and nephew Bill. Survivors include daughters Tiffany Fredrickson (Jim) of Selmer, Tennessee and Tonya Mullen (Jason) of Warrenton, Virginia, grandchildren Justin, Jordan, Taylor and Noelle, nieces and nephews Dottie Ann, Skip, Tim, Donald, Cathy, Tom, Dan, Elln, Art, Al and Anita.
Memorial contributions may be made in Memory of Sandra Trulson to:American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
At this time, no immediate services are planned however memorial celebrations will take place in Pennsylvania and Florida at a later time to honor Sandra’s final wishes.
