Sharon Lee Brestensky, 70, of Buffalo Township, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born September 10, 1954 in Harrison Township to the late James E. and Margaret (Callen) McCombs. Sharon lived most of her life in Fawn and Buffalo Township. She was a dental assistant for several local dentists. She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church, Tarentum. Sharon was active in Church Sessions and was a Sunday school teacher and involved with the young people in her church. Sharon graduated in 1972 from Highlands High School and Forbes Trail as a dental assistant. Sharon enjoyed painting ceramics and playing cards with family and friends. She loved visiting her camp in Linesville and living at her condo in Florida in the winter. She spent a lot of time pet sitting Ruca, Sol, Hazel and Cinder.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Michael A. Brestensky; her children Carie A. (Trevor) Mahan, of Buffalo Twp., and Michael J. (Gina) Brestensky, of Upper Burrell Twp.; grandchildren Nora and Aron Mahan, of Buffalo Twp. Also surviving are her siblings Elsie Anthony, of Freeport, James “Sam” (Linda) McCombs, of Las Vegas, NV, Alice (Chuck) Greiner, of Fawn Twp., brother-in-law Mark (Dawn) Brestensky, of Leechburg and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother in laws David Anthony and Daniel Brestensky and her in laws Joseph and Leona Brestensky also by nieces Margie and Tracey Wells and Danielle Brestensky as well as nephew Chad Brestensky.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Sunday April 27, 2025 at 1PM in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 with her Pastor, Rev. Philip A. Beck, officiating. Burial will be private. VISIT: dusterfh.com
