Sherman A. “Les” Hartman, 96, of Tarentum, passed away at home, Wednesday, September 27, 2023. He was born November 18, 1926 in New Kensington, to the late Edward and Helen (Neuman) Hartman. Les lived most of his life in Tarentum and was a retired baker in retail grocery. He was a member of the Tarentum Eagles and Elks. Les loved to sing and play guitar. He liked country western music and had a band, Rhythm Ramblers.
Survivors include his children, Thomas E. (Judy) Hartman, of Greensburg, Patricia A. (Dennis P.) Henninger, of Indianapolis, IN and James A. Hartman, of Butler; 7 grandchildren, Patrick (Amy), Denise (Jonathan), Eric (Danielle), Melissa, Vickie, Jim Jr. and Sabrina and also 8 great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores J. (Beck) Hartman in 2017, brothers Howard, Bobby and Jimmy Hartman, 4 sisters, Helen, Margaret Bash, Doris Jean Spiering and Loris Ann Adams and grandson David Hartman.
Visitation 4PM until the time of service at 7PM Tuesday in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 with Pastor Thomas F. Bracken, officiating. Burial will be in Indianapolis, Indiana. VISIT: DusterFH.com
