Shirley J. Dubac, 91, of Tarentum, passed away at home, Wednesday October 16,2024 surrounded by her family. She was born November 15, 1932 in Tarentum to the late Charles and Leona (McNally) McPhilimy. Shirley lived most of her life in Tarentum and also New Kensington for 28 years. She was a spot welder for Haskell’s Corp. in Oakmont and Pittsburgh. Shirley was a member of the former Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum and a current member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell. She graduated from Tarentum High School in 1950 and enjoyed cooking and baking. Shirley especially enjoyed her family, children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Paula J. Scott, of Brackenridge, Kevin M. Dubac, of Tarentum and Kerry S. (Andrea) Dubac, of Carnegie; 5 grandchildren Vincent Dubac, David Dubac, Aaron Scott, Paul Dubac and Dina Dubac. Also surviving is her sister Judy McPhilimy, of Tarentum. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her son Paul Dubac, Jr., and sister Patricia “Patty” Zewe.
Visitation 2-4 & 6-8 PM Sunday in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian funeral mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 am in St. Margaret Mary R.C. Church, Lower Burrell with Rev. Joel Sayson, officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Twp. VISIT: dusterfh.com
